Remarks Regarding Passports Issuance:

  • All processed applications are sent from consulate office in The Hague to the Yemeni consulate in Frankfurt, which is responsible of issuing passports through a modern automated system. All passports must be approved firstly by the Unified Automatic Issuance Center in Yemen.
  • Complete applications takes between 14 to 30 days.
  • Lost passports takes 45 days minimum.
  • Consulate office is not responsible for any delay or rejection of applications that are incomplete or do not fulfill the requirements.
  • Prior to sending the original old passport along with the application, make sure to print a true copy of the passport, and keep it in a safe place.
  • Please save the Tracking Number of the application for followups or inquiries.

Passport Issuance/ Renewal

The general rules and regulations applies to passport issuance in addition to:

  • Attach the original passport you wish to renew/replace with the application
  • Fill-in the application form #2 and pay attention to the following instructions:
  • The triple name and surname must be written in both Arabic and English and according to the official documents. Any application without a quadruple name will be rejected
    Date of Birth must be written in the form (DAY/MONTH/YEAR). E.g. (19/12/1981)
    In case you rquest to modify the date of birth, please attach the original or colored true copy of the birth certificate.
    Provide the triple name of the mother along with her nationality.
    Provide the permenant address in the country of residence (Netherland/Sweden/Norway) with a valid personal phone No., in addition to the address and phone number in Yemen.
    Provide the names of relatives residing in Yemen along with the relationships, phone numbers, and addresses as indicated in the application form.
    Provide the left finger print and signature in the specified place of the application form.

  • Attach a copy of residence permit (if applicable)
  • A recent colored passport photo with white background size (6x4) cm, and make sure:
  • Not to wear medical or sun glasses
    Not to wear Hats of any shape or form.
  • If you wish to modify occupation, please provide a proof of the new occupation. If you wish to modify it to businessman, Please provide the commercial register.
  • Provide a copy of Maritial licence certified  by the official authorties in case you were applying for a spouse.
  • Note: Once the new passports are issued, old passports are voided and returned along with the new passports.
  • Passport issuance fees for adults (€117 - 18 years or older)

Passport issuance for minors below the age of 18

All rules and instructions of issuing passports apply to this section in addition to the following:

  1. Each child must have a seperate application form ( Quadruple name of the child must be provided as written in the birth certificate and father’s passport)
  2. Attach a copy of father’s passport and residence permit.
  3. Attach a copy of mother’s passport and residence permit.
  4. Attach the birth certificate of the child or a true copy.
  5. If the child was born in Netherland, Sweden or Norway, the birth certificate must be firstly authenticated by the Ministry of Forign Affairs of the corresponding country.
  6. Passport issuance fees for minors
    Newborn to 6 years: €57
    Between 7 - 18 years: €87

Passport issuance for students

All rules and instructions of issuing a passports apply to this section in addition to the following

  1. Attach the university/school ID. In case the ID does not state your current year of study, provide an acknowledgment letter from the university/school that include your current status and year of study.
  2. Passport issuance fees for students ( on government scholarship, external scholarship, or on their own)

Passport issuance for damaged or lost passports

All rules and instructions of issuing a passports apply to this section in addition to the following:

  1. Attach a police report for each lost passport.
  2. Provide a clear copy of the lost passport.
  3. Attach a colored copy of the Yemeni Identification Card.
  4. In case of damaged passport, attach the damaged passport
  5. Tranfer the costs of postal services of the Yemeni council in Frankfurt to the amount of 28 Euro if you reside outside Netherlands and 22 Euro if you reside in Netherlands. The account number of the embassy in The Hague as follows:

  6. Passport issuance fees for damaged or lost passports

Section 14 of the passport act state that the holder of a damaged passport shall be fined no more than the cost of a passport, and the holder of a lost passport shall be fined no more than double the cost of a passport.
